Retry or edit failed messages
When a model does not complete a response, its panel keeps the failed prompt and displays retry and edit controls. Other successful model responses remain available.
Retry without changing the prompt
Select the retry icon beside the failed message.
- In a multi-panel view, Retry for all failed models resends the shared prompt to the affected models.
- In a single expanded panel, Retry message targets only that model.
Wait for any active model response to finish before retrying.
Edit before retrying
Select the edit icon beside the failed prompt. The message composer enters editing mode and shows the target models when more than one failed model is included.
Change the prompt and send it again. Expanding a single model panel before sending limits the edited retry to that model. Use the close control on the editing indicator to cancel without sending.
Resolve the underlying error
Retrying the same prompt will not fix every problem. Follow the message shown in the panel:
- Remove images when the case or model image limit is exceeded.
- Replace a model that is unavailable on your plan.
- Choose a ZDR-compatible model or review the Enforce ZDR setting.
- Remove patient-identifying information detected by the text guardrail.
- Purchase credits, change models, upgrade, or wait for the next cycle after reaching a usage limit.
- Start a new case after reaching the maximum number of turns.
If the comparison fails after the model replies succeed, retry from the comparison panel instead.
